Levy Facts

We continue to offer quality programs to our students!
The 6.90-mill levy will maintain current academic and extra-curricular programs for an additional 2-3 years.

We need a local solution now!
State funding solutions will not happen in time for Margaretta Schools. The last additional local levy approved by voters occurred in 1998. State funding has not increased since 2004 and will now decrease due to House Bill I.

We continue to reduce our expenditures!
Coinciding with declining enrollment, the district has cut 29 staff positions. We are saving $338,000 annually by the consolidation of our buildings. The implementation of an efficient one-bus route system reduces routes by 41,000 miles and saves 5,540 gallons of diesel fuel annually. Our dedicated team of teachers, support staff and administrators have agreed to health care concessions and pay freezes.

We are effective!
The Ohio Department of Education has rated Margaretta Schools as “Effective” for 7 of the past 8 years. 100% of our teachers are rated as “Highly Qualified”.

We are Margaretta!
